What is a Retina Specialist Video
The medical practice was founded in 1976 by F. Dale Roth, M.D., the first fellowship trained retina specialist in mid-Michigan. Prior to his arrival, those requiring retina specialty care needed to travel out of town to obtain the care they needed. Dr. Roth performed the first retina laser surgery in the area at Genesee Memorial Hospital, later migrating such treatment to the office setting. He also began performing surgeries for retinal detachment and other retinal problems. He provided exceptional care to the community until 1993 when the medical practice transitioned to Steven Boskovich, M.D. and a new name: Michigan Retina-Vitreous Institute. Dr. Boskovich brought with him advanced vitrectomy surgery techniques and other diagnostic and treatment modalities expanding the services provided over the years.
Michigan Retina-Vitreous Institute is the most experienced retina-specialty practice in the area. We look forward to caring for you.
